One of last year's winners stepped up and contributed $100 to the Rockybowl party. Good ole Kurt "Half time" Schlicker has generously contributed part of last years winnings.
After reading the many vicious comments left to your humble "Good Looking" commissioner, he felt the crowd was looking for blood so what better way to satisfy the animals then offer them meat. Which due to Kurt's generous contribution we will eat in style again this year. Lets hear it for "Half Time"
Heres to Kurt, he's first class, heres to Kurt he's a Horses Ass. Love you Man.
This year's party is Wednesday, December 30th any time after 3pm or before. Games start early and end early so your invited to come by anytime. We expect to be eating around 6 but if you're late the grill will stay on for any late arrivals.
Please bring your own Big Boy Beverages and Big Boys Cigars. All of the food will be provided. If you must, feel free to rbing a dish to share.
For the new bowlers please take the time and effort to come by and be a part of this half way event, please feel welcome and see who will be wearing the Yellow Leaders Yersey after each game. Remember, the Leader at the party wears the yellow jersey, so if you arrive early, you may be able to be one of the privledged few to wear it. The Bobby Breeze award will be awarded after the final game.

Thanks, Kurt!
ReplyDeleteWell...all I can say is, "Go Kentucky!" It seems a lot of my eggs are in the Wildcats' basket. It will certainly be my turning point (either way).
I'll be eatin' and drinkin' and smokin' at the Rocky Bowl Party (and thinkin' of all of you lame-o's who won't be makin' it). Hope to see many of you there!!!
Okay...the eggs cracked and I am lost and gone forever (or at least for the 2009-2010 Rocky Bowl). Why couldn't those Wildcats win??????
ReplyDeleteGo Huskies! (next year)
for a hundred bucks, you should be able to secure a couple of horses asses bigger than mine! and your grill can handle 'em. turn up the heat; let the games begin.
ReplyDeletehalf time (and lovin' it), Kurt

ReplyDeleteRocky Bowl Commissioners,
As you know my daughter, Lucia "Longhorn" Skaarup, has entered the downward spiral. She's very bright for a six year old and has undertaken the task to learn the names and mascots of all BCS NCAA Div 1A teams... so to help her out I put together a quick map of the helmets... and I was wondering if you'd post it on the website so others could download it if they want.
At CostCo's photo department you can now print out over sized photo prints... a 12" by 24" for only $4. This image is formatted so that you can print it out at CostCo (use a SD card) and have a durable copy...

In order to help my kids figure out the intricacies of the NCAA Bowl System I've put together a graphic of all the NCAA Div-1 teams. This is formatted 1 foot by 2 feet so that you can print it out at CostCo's photo department for $4.

I know I'm being picky, but if you fix "conference" on the big 12 title there I will certainly be printing one off, thanks :)
